It’s another winning week for Delaware drivers with gas prices continuing to fall.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular lost six cents over the past week to end at $2.22.
First State drivers were paying $3.30 for the same gas a year ago.
Nationally, a gallon of regular is also getting cheaper, shedding a nickel in price over the past week to ring in at $2.29.
Delawaregasprices.com reports the cheapest place to fill up is in Newark at $2.07 a gallon, with several nearby stations reporting slightly higher prices.
The website also reports most of the cheaper nations are in New Castle County.
AAA notes the downward trend in prices is a result of the domestic market continuing to be oversupplied, while refineries also switch to cheaper winter blends.
