Students at the University of Delaware need to budget for a tuition hike this year.
UD announced a 1.9 percent increase to tuition and fees Monday for all in-state undergraduates in the 2014-2015 academic year. Out-of-state graduates will pay 2.54 percent more.
The hike translates into a $230 increase for in-state students, pushing the total cost for the academic year to $12,342. The total cost for out-of-state students will rise by $760, ringing in at more than $30,692.
Students who live and dine on campus can expect to pay more based on the housing and dining plans they choose.
Graduate students will also pay a three percent increase per credit hour, while full time graduate students will see a seven percent reduction in mandatory fees.
Despite the increase in costs for its students, a statement from UD noted that the increase was the lowest hike in 30 years.
