Watch Live: Gov. Carney's coronavirus briefing

State of Delaware

Delaware's move to Phase 3 of the state's reopening plan remains on hold as it sees an uptick in new COVID-19 cases.

While the state has seen no new COVID-19 related deaths since July 1 and hospitalizations remain fairly low at 54, the 5-day average of new positive cases has been over 100 for 10 consecutive days and currently stands at 122.

It's enough new cases to land Delaware on the list of states New Jersey and New York are asking out-of-state travellers from to quarantine for 14 day when they arrive.

The state is also dealing with an outbreak of the virus at the Sussex Correctional, where 58 inmates have tested positive for COVID-19 over the past week.

Gov. John Carney holds his latest press briefing on the state's reponse to the pandemic Tuesday.
