Incumbents win Dewey Beach election

Delaware Public Media

Incumbents ran the table in Saturday’s Dewey Beach municipal election.

Three incumbents seeking to hold their Town Council seats - Dale Cooke,  Mayor TJ Redefer and Paul Bauer - won Saturday.

Cooke was the top vote-getter with 414 votes, Redefer garnered 367 votes and Paul Bauer got 364 votes.

Newcomer Phil Rowe finished with 358 votes.

The three will be sworn in for their new terms at the Town Council’s organizational meeting this Saturday.

The commissioners will also vote for mayor - and Redefer says he’s confident he will remain in that post.
