Delaware gets a slight respite from its rising COVID numbers
State health officials reported just Delaware saw just 484 new cases Saturday. That leaves the state’s 7-day rolling average for new cases at 741 – its lowest level since December 7th.
Hospitalizations statewide dropped by one from 411 to 410 – but 66 people are considered critically ill – up 7 from Friday.
The state’s seven day rolling percentage of positive tests remains below 10, sitting at 9.4 percent.
The state also announced another 4 COVID-related deaths, lifting the state’s death toll to 862. The state has recorded 67 deaths this month.
All four of the latest deaths were in Kent County. All of the victims were over 86 years with underlying health conditions. And all four were also residents of long-term care facilities.
