Earlier this week, the Delaware primary clarified the landscape voters will encounter when they vote in November’s general election, setting up the final slate of candidates they’ll have to choose from this fall.
One race that was set in stone before this week’s vote was the one for Lt. Governor, and we focus on that race this week.
As part of our 2020 Election coverage, Delaware Public Media is offering a series of Candidate Conversations.
We reached out to all candidates filed to run in the races for U.S. House and U.S. Senate, as well as Governor, Lt. Governor and Insurance Commissioner and invited them to sit down with us.
Candidates in each race are being asked about the same set of topics to allow you to get to know them and compare them.
The race for Lt. Governor features the incumbent, Democrat Bethany Hall- Long, and Republican Donyale Hall.
Hall Longis seeking a second term after winning the office in 2016. Before that she had served in the General Assembly, first in the House, and then in the State Senate.
Hall is making her first try for statewide office. She ran for State Senate in 2018 and lost in the Republican primary for the 17th District seat.
There’s a new photography exhibit at the Historic Odessa Foundation.
“A Wealth of Nature: Photographs by Jane Mruk” features about 40 of Mruk’s photographs, mostly capturing the beauty in nature throughout Delaware.
And in this week’s Arts Playlist, Mruk speaks with Delaware Public Media’s Kelli Steele about her career and what she hopes this exhibit will inspire.
