Delaware COVID-19 deaths top 420

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

FIrst State health officials report 3 additional COVID-19 deaths and 35 new positive cases.

 

Delaware’s COVID-19 death toll is now 422 since March 11. 

The latest victims were between 68 and 104 years old. Two were from new Castle County and one from Kent County.  All 3 had underlying health conditions and two were long-term–care facility residents.

 

The new cases lift the state’s total to date to 10.264.

 

Current hospitalizations held at 93 with 16 people critically ill.  And the five-day average of percentage of people testing positive has been below four for the past 5 day and is currently at 2 percent.

 

And 56 more people are considered recovered from the virus.  That takes the overall total to 6,172.
