Delaware reported 2 new COVID-19 related deaths Saturday and 161 new cases.
The total number of deaths statewide is now 324, with that number rising by single digits daily for a full week.
The latest victims were a New Castle County woman and Sussex County woman. Both lived in long-term care facilities and were over 75 years old with underlying health conditions.
143 more people have tested positive. The state has a totals of 8,529 cases since March 11th.
Current hospitalizations dropped from 221 to 210 – the lowest number since April 16th when it was at 209.
The 5-day average of the percentage of people testing positive has also been largely static this week – hovering around the 10 percent mark. The five-day average new positive cases also continues to trend downward.
And another 158 patients are considered recovered from the virus, bringing that total to 4,454 since the start of the outbreak.
