Listen to this edition of The Green or individual segments below:

About 4 and a-half years ago, St. Louis-based Commercial Development Company (CDC) purchased the former Evraz Claymont Steel property.  At that time, company offered some ambitious plans to remake the site, and perhaps spur an economic renaissance in Claymont.

Since then, little more has been heard about plans for the site.  But that is about to change.

Contributor Larry Nagengast lays out the new vision for the property, and when it may start coming to fruition.

When drinking a local craft beer, have you ever noticed the little black logo on the side of the can or bottle? It’s an image of an up-turned bottle that reads “independent craft.”

That’s the Brewer Association’s Independent Craft Brew Seal. It indicates the beer you’re drinking is not produced by a brewery bought up by one of the “big beer” companies, and all 21 of Delaware’s craft breweries have adopted the seal.

For this week’s Enlighten Me -Delaware Public Media’s Nick Ciolino sat down with Andrew Rutherford, owner and brewer at Wilmington's Stitch House Brewery, to talk about the craft brewing landscape in Delaware and why the Independent Craft Brew Seal is important.
