State titles in high school football are on the line Saturday afternoon.
Smyrna and Middletown battle for the Division I state crown at 1 p.m. at Delaware Stadium in Newark.
Both are undefeated at 11-0.
Smyrna is looking to win back-to-back state titles after capturing its first ever football crown a year ago. Middletown is seeking its fourth Division I title and first since 2012. Middletown also owns four Division Two titles.
The Division II title is up for grabs at 5:30 p.m. Saturday when Woodbridge and Wilmington Friends square off at Delaware Stadium.
Woodbridge is a perfect 12-0 and seeking its first-ever state football title.
Friends is 11-1 and looking for its first state football championship since 1984. It’s also to seeking to avenge its only loss this season, a 35-7 defeat at the hands of Woodbridge in week three of the season.
