Firefly releases complete 2014 festival performance schedule

The complete schedule for the 2014 edition of the Firefly Festival is out.

The four-day event kicks off Thursday June 19th at 5:45 pm when Chicago-based indie rock songwriter Andrew Belle hits the Backyard stage as Alabama’s John & Jacob bring their back porch harmonies and upbeat rootsy melodies to the Forest Stage.

LA indie rock quintet Local Natives close out Thursday and The Foo Fighters will headline Friday night - while Atlanta hip hop duo Outkast top Saturday’s lineup and Jack Johnson will be Sunday’s main event.

Delaware’s contributions to the festival will open the new Big Break stage - Newark’s Mean Lady at 1:30 on Friday and Wilmington’s New Sweden that Saturday at 12:30.

The festival has stepped it up in its third year – adding a fourth day and two additional stages to accommodate over 100 musical acts. Around 85,000 people are expected to visit the Woodlands at Dover International Speedway that weekend.

Four-day passes for the event are officially sold out, however single day passes are still available for all four days at Firefly's website.
