Lottery hopefuls in Delaware will have to go into work today and postpone that tropical vacation.
There was a winning ticket for yesterday’s $425 million Powerball jackpot, but it was sold at a convenience store in California.
That single ticket matched all five numbers ad the Powerball, and the winner scooped up the sixth highest lottery prize in U.S history. The jackpot has rolled over 15 times since the last jackpot was handed out Christmas Day.
Powerball increased its ticket price from one dollar to two in 2012 and that adjustment created bigger jackpots in shorter periods of time.
Other changes to Powerball include much bigger second prizes, so you still may want to check your ticket.
Lottery officials say Wednesday's drawing produced one two million dollar winning ticket and 17 one million dollar winners.
