Delaware hunters bagged their fourth biggest deer harvest of all-time in the 2014-2015 season.
DNREC said Wednesday that 14,239 deer were killed by First State hunters throughout the season. That’s a slight decrease from the previous season’s total of 14,263 deer.
Several records were set this past season, including the amount of deer harvested on publicly-owned lands and the amount harvested by crossbow. 54 percent of the deer brought in were does, while 46 percent were bucks.
