The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 remains elevated throughout the First State
The seven-day average of people testing positive sits at 150, bringing the total number of people who’ve tested positive since March to 24,751.
The average percentage of people testing positive for the virus increased to 7.7 percent this week.
There were also 26 additional COVID-releated in Delaware this week, bringing the state’s death toll to 704.
The list of long term care facilities with outbreaks is now at 5. Lofland Park in Seaford was added with 19 residents and 10 staff cases. And Regency Healthcare in Wilmington saw 25 new resident cases this week - along with 8 newstaff cases.
Public schools saw 16 more student cases and 13 more staff infected statewide. Part of those are attributable to an outbreak at Sussex Tech High School in Georgetown, where at least 2 students and 3 staff members have tested positive. The school is closed through November 6th for a deep cleaning.
Woodbridge High School in Greenwood began a two week closure last Friday because of an outbreak.
