Serafin Ensemble, “The Serafins,” opens its season later this month in Wilmington.

The group of internationally acclaimed performing artists devoted to collaborative chamber music performances will be at at Trinity Episcopal Church for The Arts at Trinity on October 20, 2019.

One of the performers, playing the cello, will be Atlanta-based Serafin artist Charae Krueger.

Krueger describes her background as “very diverse,” “I’m Principal Cellist for the Atlanta Opera and the Atlanta Ballet Orchestras. And I’m a full-time cello professor at Kennesaw State University (KSU), which is a little bit north of Atlanta - here in Georgia. And I love to play Chamber music.”

Krueger joins violinist Kate Ransom and her brother William Ransom playing piano for the concert, which will feature music by Mozart and Gaspar Cassado, “The program will start with two pieces for violin and piano. The first by (Bederich) Smetana - called Two Pieces From My Native Land. And the second piece will be a Mozart Sonata for violin and piano in Bb major.”

The concert on Sunday, Oct. 20 is free, but donations would be appreciated. The concert starts at 4 p.m.
