Delaware Public Media

Delaware drivers are seeing higher prices at the pump again this week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the cost of a gallon of regular jumped 8 cents over the past seven days – from $1.96 to $2.04.

The price is up 11 cents over the past two weeks, but is still remains 35 cents below the $2.39 Delaware drivers were paying a year ago.

And according to Delawaregasprices.com, nearly a dozen stations up and down the state selling a gallon of regular for a $1.92 or lower.

The national average also rose last week – up three cents from $2.13 to $2.16.

Despite upward trend over the past couple of weeks, AAA expects drivers will still enjoy the lowest prices at the pump during the Labor Day holiday in over a decade.
