Delaware Public Media

The average price for gas in Delaware is now below two dollars a gallon.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the cost of a gallon of regular dropped another five cents over the past seven days – from $2.02 to $1.97.

The price at the pump has fallen 28 cents over the past seven weeks, leaving the price 58 cents below the $2.55 First State drivers were paying this time last year.

According to Delawaregasprices.com, just under a dozen stations statewide are selling a gallon of regular for $1.85 or less, mainly in Newark-area.

The national average also dropped again last week – down another four cents from $2.17 to $2.13. That’s a 25-cent decline over the past six weeks.
