Gas prices in Delaware dipped significantly over the past 7 days.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular in Delaware tumbled eight cents from $3.29 a week ago to $3.21 Sunday. Prices at the pump in the First State have dropped just over 20 cents in the last two months.
First State drivers are paying nine cents below than the national average, which fell four cents to $3.30 this week. And they’re paying 11 cents less than a year ago the average price per gallon for regular in Delaware was $3.32.
AAA Mid-Atlantic officials continue to predict prices could fall another 20 cents by Thanksgiving and that some areas across the country could see prices fall below 3 dollars per gallon this winter.
Delawaregasprices.com reports there are over a dozen stations across the state selling a gallon of regular for $3.09 or slightly less – mainly in New Castle County.
