Delaware motorists saw a slight bump in gas prices over the past week.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular in Delaware Sunday was $3.61, up four cents from a week ago when it was $3.57.
That remains well below the national average, which is currently at $3.66, but significantly higher than what Delawareans were paying a year ago when the average price per gallon for regular was $3.47.
AAA says the increase is in part the result of rising crude oil prices fueled by worries over sectarian violence in Iraq. AAA adds that could lead to further increases during a time of year that has seen prices drop the last three years.
Delawaregasprices.com reports nine stations selling a gallon of regular for $3.52 or less, all in the New Castle and Dover areas.
