Jury returns guilty verdict in 2010 Smyrna murder case

A Newark man charged with the Valentine’s Day 2010 murder of a 61 year-old Smyrna man was convicted in Kent County Superior Court Tuesday.

It took the jury less than a full day of deliberation find 22 year-old Juan Restrepo-Duque guilty of first degree murder. He was also convicted on a number of other charges, including possession of a deadly weapon and theft of a motor vehicle. He'll be sentenced in late March.

Kenton Wolf was found dead in his home by Delaware state troopers in early February of 2010. Coworkers had called the police after Wolf had not shown up for work in a week. Troopers quickly deemed the stabbing death a homicide, and also reported Wolf’s car missing from the residence.

Restrepo-Duque was arrested just days later. He was was 18 at the time of the crime.
