The FBI is investigating two suspicious packages addressed to former Vice President Biden here in Delaware.

The FBI confirms two packages intended for Biden have been recovered.

One was at the post office on Lancaster Ave. in Wilmington, and the other at the U.S. Postal Service processing and distribution hub on Quigley Blvd. in New Castle.

Biden's name joins a list of current and former public officials, including former President Obama and Hillary Clinton to receive packages. CNN and public figures including liberal billionaire financier George Soros and actor Robert De Niro have also been sent similar packages.

The FBI confirms the packages addressed to Biden looked similar to these.

The New Castle County bomb disposal unit, EMS, a K-9 unit and several city and county police vehicles converged on the Lancaster Ave. post office in Wilmington Thursday morning. A helicopter could be heard flying overhead.

Law enforcement had cleared out by early afternoon.

State police joined New Castle County police and FBI investigators at the Hares Corner postal processing and distribution center in New Castle just before 6 am. They left that facility shortly before 9am.

County police swept Biden’s Delaware home Wednesday when reports of the packages started to surface. Officials say they found nothing suspicious there.

Gov. John Carney's office did not have a comment.

The two packages sent to Biden bring the total number being intercepted or recovered by the FBI so far to ten. Other addressees include Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif), former Attorney General Eric Holder and former CIA Director John Brennan.

NPR reports that the targets of these suspicious packages are critics or political nemeses of Trump.

In a statement, the FBI said the packages are being sent for analysis at the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Va.
