One new COVID-19 death in Delaware, new cases remain low

Delaware health officials report one new COVID-19 death and 63 new positive cases Tuesday.

 

Delaware’s COVID-19 death toll is now 424.

The latest victim is 80-year-old Kent County woman who was long-term care resident with underlying health conditions.

10,403 people have tested positive for the virus in the state since March 11.

Current hospitalizations also continue to inch lower. The total dropped by one Tuesday to 87 statewide. 15 people are critically ill.

The five-day average of people testing positive has stayed below percent for the past 5 days.  And, the five-day average of new positive cases has hovered around the 50 mark for the past week.

84 new recoveries were announced today. That total stands at 6,256 since the start of the pandemic.
