DelDOT reports about 1.29 million vehicles passed through Delaware's three main toll plazas during the four-day Memorial Day weekend. That's down around 13,000 from last year.
This comes after three straight years of traffic increases for the Memorial Day weekend.
It’s no surprise that the busiest location was the Newark I-95 toll plaza with more than 500,000 motorists passing through.
The Dover toll plaza saw over 359,000 cars and the Biddles Corner toll plaza had just over 347,000 cars pass through.
Last year DelDOT collected $3.2 million in toll revenue over the long weekend.
DelDOT did not release toll revenue for this year.
