Unemployment holds steady in First State in November

Delaware Public Media

Unemployment rates in Delaware remained unchanged through November.

According to the Department of Labor, Delaware’s unemployment rate holds steady at 5.1 percent, just slightly above the nation’s rate at 5 percent, which was also unchanged last month.

Between October and November, there were only a hundred more unemployed people in Delaware. Meanwhile, 2,400 people entered the labor force.

And the report also shows that there are more than 13,000 people in Delaware who are employed, compared to November last year.

Unemployment rates fell in all three counties -- with Kent County falling the most by eight-tenths of a point down to 4.7 percent. And compared to November last year, unemployment rates improved in all three counties.
