Why the controversial head of FDA's vaccine unit is stepping down

The head of the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research is stepping down next month after a series of controversial decisions involving vaccines and gene therapies. Vinay Prasad was previously ousted from his position at the FDA last summer before returning.
