Richard Korn, the Democratic candidate for state auditor in 2010, was acquitted Thursday of more than two dozen child pornography charges.
A Delaware Superior Court judge decided that while 50 pornographic images depicting children were found on Korn’s computer and other devices, prosecutors did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Korn knew about or viewed them.
Earlier this week, Korn waived his right to a jury trial, choosing to have the judge decide the case.
The 62-year-old Korn was arrested in January of last year.
He also lost bids for New Castle County executive in 2004 and the State House in 2006.
