The University of Delaware football team and first year head coach Dave Brock are getting some respect nationally.
The Blue Hens sit just outside the top 25 of the preseason Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) coaches’ poll.
The Hens received 47 points, leaving them 30th in the coaches’ rankings.
UD is one of only two teams that finished with a losing record to appear in the poll, joining Northern Iowa, which like Delaware finished 5-6 in 2012.
The Hens’ schedule includes games against 6 teams ranked in the coaches’ poll, including #9 Villanova and 12th ranked Towson.
UD opens its 2013 season Thursday night August 29th at home against Jacksonville.
