Delaware’s unemployment rate held steady at 3.9% last month.
In June, unemployment in the First State dipped below the national rate for the first time in almost a year and a half.
But the national number dropped last month matching Delaware’s 3.9% rate.
According to seasonally adjusted data, Delaware gained 6,500 jobs between July 2017 and July 2018. But data not adjusted for recurring seasonal hiring shows a gain of 9,200 jobs during that time.
Experts say payroll data through March of this year suggests the 6,500 number is closer to being accurate.
