As part of our 2020 Election coverage, Delaware Public Media is once again offering a series of Candidate Conversations.
We reached out to all candidates filed to run in the races for U.S. House and U.S. Senate, as well as Governor, Lt. Governor and Insurance Commissioner and invited them to sit down with us.
Candidates in each race are being asked about the same set of topics to allow you to get to know them and compare them.
The race for U.S. Senate features five candidates challenging the incumbent – Democrat Chris Coons.
We start with a look at the two Republicans who will face off in a Sept. 15th primary – Jim DeMartino and Lauren Witzke.
DeMartino, a Lewes attorney, making his first run for statewide office after losing bids to unseat Delaware House Speaker Pete Schwartzkopf in that Rehoboth Beach area House district in 2016 and 2018.
Witzke is a Delmar native and making her first try for public office.
