Delaware State University sets multiple enrollment records for the 2019-2020 academic year.

DSU has gone over the 5,000-student mark for the first time.  It’s total enrollment for the current school year is 5,054 students.

The university hit that mark a year ahead of the goal set in its Pride 2020 strategic plan.

The new freshman class of 1,145 students is the largest in Delaware State University's history, and this year’s class has a record high number of in-state students.

The University says its Early College High School has been a major driver in enrollment growth, with 53% of the charter school’s first two graduating classes going on to attend DSU.

In all, the enrollment has increased 40% over the last ten years according to university officials.
