Blue Rocks push Carolina League title series to decisive Game 5

The Blue Rocks have forced a fifth and deciding game in the Mills Cup Carolina League Championship.

The Rocks shut down the Fayetteville Woodpeckers 2-0 Friday night in Game 4 of the best of five series – evening the series at 2 wins apiece.

Four Rocks pitchers combined to allow just 3 hits while striking out 10.

Wilmington and Fayetteville play a winner-take-all Game 5 Saturday night in Fayetteville.

A win gives the Blue Rocks’ their fifth Carolina League title and first since 1999.

First pitch is at 6 pm.
