2020 Candidate Conversations: U.S. Senate

The 2020 election cycle is now in full swing.

As part of our election coverage, Delaware Public Media is offering a series a Candidate Conversations - including in the race for U.S. Senate.

We’ve reached out to all candidates that have filed to run in the races for U.S. House and  U.S. Senate, as well as the races for state Governor, Lt. Governor and Insurance Commissioner and invited them to sit down with us. Candidates in each race are being asked about the same series of topics to allow you to get to know then and compare them.

In the race for U.S Senate, Delaware's junior Senator Chris Coons is seeking a second full term. Five other candidates are running for the seat, once held by Democratic Presidnential nominee Joe Biden, here in 2020.

Coons facs a Democratic primary challenge from Jessica Scarane.  Jim DeMatino and Lauren Wizke face off in a Republican primary.  Libertarian Nadine Frost and Mark Turley of the Independent Party of Delaware will join the primary winners in the Novmber general election ballot.

Candidate Conversations are part of Delaware Debates 2020, a collaboration between Delaware Public Media and the University of Delaware's Center for Political Communication.
