Georgetown Police Department Public Information Officer Joey Melvin confirms they were contacted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement about an operation this week. Melvin told Delaware Public Media early Thursday afternoon ICE agents were in Georgetown Tuesday and Wednesday.
He also said local law enforcement did not know what type of operation it was.
The News Journal reports ICE confirmed to it that agents conducted a targeted enforcement action Tuesday and one person was taken into custody.
