Delaware gas prices have begun to level off after a few weeks of volatility.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular shed a penny over the past seven days to close at $2.07.
Prices at the pump settled at $2.82 at this same time a year ago.
Delawaregasprices.com reports the cheapest gas can be found at several stations – including in Dover and Newark – at $1.95 if you pay in cash.
Otherwise, there are many stations in all three counties selling a gallon of regular for $1.99 or cheaper.
Nationwide, gas prices dropped below Delaware’s averages at $2.04.
AAA officials continue to project national averages falling below $2.00 by the Christmas holiday – the first time since 2009.
