It was another week of declining gas prices in the First State.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price for a gallon of regular Sunday was $2.37 – down 9 cents from last week and 31 cents from three weeks ago.
And Delawaregasprices.com reports there’s a half dozen stations selling a gallon of regular for $2.24 or less.
AAA says refineries along the Gulf Coast affected by Hurricane Harvey are closer to normal. That combined with lower gas demand in the fall and the switch to winter-blend gasoline are sending prices at the pump lower.
But the $2.37 average in the First State this week is still significantly higher than a year ago when it stood at $2.15.
The national average currently stands at $2.56.
