First State gas prices inched lower again last week.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the cost of a gallon of regular dropped a penny over the past seven days – from $2.15 to $2.14.
The price has fallen 5 cents over the past two weeks after surging 10-cents following the Colonial pipeline leak and closure last month.
But AAA notes prices could rise again if Hurricane Matthew has an impact on oil delivery in the Southeast U.S.
Delaware drivers are currently paying 7 cents less than what they were a year ago when the average price was $2.21.
And according to Delawaregasprices.com, there are a handful of stations in the New Castle area that have dropped their price for a gallon of regular to $2.04 or lower.
The national average was up 4 cents last week – from $2.22 to $2.26.
