Delaware gas prices continue to fall – with prices close to or under two dollars a gallon becoming more common.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular fell another six cents over the past seven days – from $2.11 to  $2.05.

The price at the pump has fallen 20 cents over the last five weeks leaving the price 65 cents below the $2.65 Delaware drivers were paying this time last year.

According to Delawaregasprices.com –just over a dozen stations around the state are offering a gallon of gas at $1.95 or less.  The lowest prices are in the Newark area where a handful are charging less than $1.90.

The national average also dropped again last week – down another three cents from $2.24 to $2.21. That’s a 17 cent decline over the past month.
