Delaware gas prices still continue to plunge.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular in Delaware dropped seven cents from $2.82 a week ago to $2.75. This time last year, First State drivers were paying $3.36 per gallon.
Delaware drivers are paying seven cents above than the national average, which fell 10 cents to $2.68 this week. Drivers in other parts in the Mid-Atlantic region, including Pennsylvania and South Jersey, are also still paying beneath $3.00 per gallon.
Gas prices overall continue to be the lowest they’ve ever been on a national scale. The national averages this season have been about 50 cents lower than gas prices a year ago, according to AAA officials.
Delawaregasprices.com reports there are still over a dozen stations across the state selling a gallon of regular for $2.63 or slightly less – mostly in New Castle County.
