Delawareans out and about over the July fourth holiday weekend didn’t have to pay quite as much to fill their gas tanks.
AAA Mid-Atlantic reports the average price for a gallon of regular in the Delaware dipped slightly over the last seven days. Sunday – the price stood at was $3.62 – down four cents from a week ago when it was $3.66.
That’s three cents below the national average, which fell two cents to $3.65 Sunday and is 21 cents more than what Delawareans were paying a year ago when the average price per gallon for regular was $3.43.
Delawaregasprices.com reports there are about a dozen stations selling a gallon of regular for $3.53 or less up and down the First State.
