Wilmington's New Sweden were the first band to greet festival goers Saturday at the 2014 Firefly Festival.
Foo Fighters capped off Friday’s bill a memorable performance laced mostly with hits - and included a shout-out to Grottos Pizza and a 5 song encore made up of Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Queen and Van Halen covers before saying goodnight to fans with their classic single "Everlong".

New Sweden's Billy Dobies jokingly thanked the Foo Fighters for opening up for them in the middle of the Delaware roots rock group's 45 minute set that got rolling shortly after the gate opened for the day Saturday at noon.
New Sweden was the second of two Delaware bands to play at the festival, joining Newark's Mean Lady who played on the same Big Break Stage Friday - and afterwards Dobies felt the band had a chance to impress some new faces.
"Yeah, we saw a bunch of people we know but there's a million more that we didn't know, so I think we did our job," said Dobies. "Even if its one or two people it kind of just keeps it going. One person turns to ten, turns to twenty."
It appeared the only issue on day three of the four-day event was a literal dust-up. Gravel paths around the grounds were sprayed with water to help control large amounts of dust kicked up as tens of thousands moved from stage to stage - prompting many to wrap faces in scarves and bandanas to avoid breathing it in.
Outkast topped the Saturday's bill, with other notable acts like Beck, Imagine Dragons and Third Eye Blind rounding out the lineup.
Firefly wraps up Sunday, with Jack Johnson headlining. Weezer and The Lumineers are also on the Sunday schedule.
