Kyle Busch is enjoying his time in the First State this weekend.
After winning Friday's NASCAR Truck Series "Lucas Oil 200," Busch came back to the Monster Mile Saturday and snagged the checkered flag in the NASCAR Nationwide Series "Buckle Up 200 presented by Click It or Ticket."
Busch led for 124 of the 200 laps on his way to earning his third Nationwide Series victory this season and his fourth career Nationwide Series win at Dover International Speedway.
"I don't know hat it was dominance as much as hard work," said Busch, crediting his race team for the win. "Good day for us. Proud to be in victory lane."
He's also now in the unique position to sweep all three weekend races at Dover, if he can take Sunday's "FedEx 400" Sprint Cup event. Busch was second in Cup qualifying Friday and will start beside Brad Keselowski on the front row.
Busch is the only driver previously to win three national series in a weekend, pulling off that feat in August 2010 at Bristol. But it is not easy. Busch has had 7 other opportunities at a weekend sweep, but was unable to win on Sunday.
"Seems like the last one is always the hardest one, and that's just due to the competition [in the Sprint Cup series]. Obviously the ladder of competition steps up. You're going to have the best of the best to deal with tomorrow, whether its drivers, crew chiefs, cars or equipment," said Busch. "But we'll give it a shot."
