Delaware State Police say a handful of homes west of Wyoming are condemned after severe weather passed through late Thursday afternoon.
Up to 15 houses were damaged when a possible tornado touched down in the area, with pieces of siding and roofing strewn along Darling Farm Road.

A husband and wife, both 51 years old, were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries after their home was completely destroyed.
State Police Sgt. Paul Shavack says the man was possibly blown out of his house by the impact of the storm, but responders weren’t able to immediately interview him.
“What we understand is he was trapped underneath debris in a mattress outside of the house. A trooper responding located him in that area of the house and directed fire and EMS to his location in order to provide him care,” said Sgt. Shavick.
Amber Kopp’s home avoided severe damage, but was among houses hit by the storm. Kopp says thankfully, none of her family was home at the time.
“We lost some columns on our porch. It’s probably pretty unstable at this point and some of our sheds and stuff are completely gone. But our kids and our animals are okay and that’s what’s important because that’s the only thing that can’t be replaced,” said Kopp.
Several eyewitness say they saw a funnel cloud over the area around 5pm.
A National Weather Service team will arrive Friday to determine if a tornado officially touched down.
