Delaware's Congressional delegation is renewing its efforts to connect Delawareans looking for work with employers that have jobs to fill.
Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, along with Congressman John Carney, host their first job fair of 2014 Thursday at Delaware Tech's Terry Campus in Dover.
More than 30 area employers will look to fill over 500 jobs at the event which runs from 10 am until 2 pm. A number of resource agencies will also be on hand to assist attendees with their job search.
Since 2011, the delegation has hosted 16 such job fairs, including four focusing on unemployed veterans. Their seven job fairs last year attracted over 4,000 people looking for work.
Their most recent job fair in New Castle County last November drew over 750 applicants to the Embassy Suites in Newark.
Employers will comprise the wide range of Kent County industries like education, law enforcement, agriculture and banking, and prospective employees are being encouraged to arrive properly attired and with their resumes.
