The State House unanimously approved a bill allowing a wider range of people to collect DNA samples.
Currently, only licensed medical professionals can handle the samples, but this bill authorizes the Chief Medical Examiner to train other personnel.
And Senator Robert Marshall (D-Wilmington West) again proposes raising Delaware’s minimum wage.
The state would notch pay up by a quarter this July to eight dollars an hour and to eight seventy-five next year.
After that, the rate would be tied to the cost of living adjustment used to calculate Social Security benefits.
