Dover will again welcome NASCAR to the First State twice next year.
NASCAR released its 2015 schedule Tuesday and Dover International Speedway is slated to host a pair of tripleheader race weekends.
The spring weekend will be May 29th through May 31st with a Friday Truck series race joining Nationwide Series cars on Saturday and Sunday’s Sprint Cup race.
The fall weekend October 2nd through 4th will have a Friday K-and-N Pro Series East race in addition to Nationwide Series racing Saturday and a Sunday Sprint Cup race.
The fall Sprint Cup race will again serve as the first “knockout race” in the 10-race Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup – with the championship field reduced from 16 to 12 drivers at the end of that third race in the championship chase format.
Dover Speedway is accepting deposits for tickets to next year’s races, and offering discounts for those who buy early.
This year’s fall NASCAR race weekend is a month away, September 26th through 28th
