Delaware gas prices drop for a fourth consecutive week

Delaware drivers saw another substantial drop in prices at the pump last week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reports a gallon of regular cost dropped seven cents over the last seven days, from $3.44 a week ago to $3.37 Sunday. It’s dropped 19 cents over the last month and is now 38 cents cheaper than it was this time last year when drivers were paying $3.75

Delawaregasprices.com reported 9 stations in the First State selling a gallon of regular for $3.26 or lower Sunday. The lowest reported price was in Sussex County, $3.21 at a station in Delmar.

The national average also dropped seven cents last week to $3.41 a gallon.

AAA officials say barring a hurricane or other unexpected disruption to production or distribution all indications point to lower gasoline prices for the remainder of the year.
