Beau Biden arrives back in Delaware

Attorney General Beau Biden is back in the First State after he spent the early portion of the week at a Houston, Texas cancer hospital.

Biden and his father, Vice President Joe Biden, landed at New Castle Airport in Air Force 2 earlier shortly after 3 pm Thursday afternoon.

The younger Biden had been at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center since Monday after falling ill last week.

The Vice President released a statement Wednesday only saying the Delaware Attorney General “underwent a successful procedure” and will be following up with local doctors over the next few weeks. The nature of procedure was not specified.

Beau Biden tweeted around noon Thursday "On our way home! Can't wait to get back. Thank you, Houston." The tweet included a picture of Biden with his wife along with the Vice President and his wife.

The Attorney General said he felt “weak and disoriented” during a family vacation and was treated at hospitals in Chicago and Philadelphia before going to Houston for tests and the procedure.

Biden previously suffered a mild stroke in 2010.

According to state Department of Justice, Biden has been in contact with his office, but there’s no indication when he will return to work.
