Gas prices slip in First State again

Delaware drivers are seeing lower prices at the gas pump again this week.

AAA Mid-Atlantic reported the average price for a gallon of regular in Delaware dropped another two cents last week, from $3.45 to $3.43.

That drop mirrored the national price at the pump - which AAA Mid Atlantic says also fell two cents last week – from $3.49 to $3.47.

Gas prices in Delaware are close to what they were a year ago at this time when a gallon of regular cost $3.40.

AAA Mid-Atlantic officials warn that prices tend to bottom out for the year in late June and early July – so it’s possible a rise in price is on the horizon. Prices nationally went up double digits in July each of the last two years.

Delawaregasprices, com reports there are about a dozen stations up and down the state selling regular for $3.35 a gallon or lower with some downstate as low as $3.29 a gallon.
