The University of Delaware holds it spring commencement Saturday morning.
Over 4,000 degrees will be conferred on members of the Class of 2013 in university’s various associate in arts, bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs.
UD’s 164th commencement ceremony starts at 9 am – rain or shine - at Delaware Stadium. Parking lots open at 6 am and gates open at 7am. The procession of graduates begins at 8:20.
This year’s commencement speaker is global humanitarian Dr. Paul Farmer. Farmer is a founding director of Partners in Health (PIH), the international nonprofit organization that’s provided direct health care services to some of the world’s poorest populations since 1987.
