A pair of weekend losses out west cost University of Delaware men’s soccer team the newest national rankings.
The Blue Hens fall from 11 to 23 in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America top 25 after losing at then #15 Cal 4-2 Friday night and then #24 Stanford 2-1 Sunday.
Those were UD’s first losses of the season, dropping them to 6-2 on the season before rebounding Wednesday with a 3-0 win at Temple.
The number 11 ranking last week was the highest in program history.
The 7-2 Blue Hens are now off until Tuesday when they host UMBC in Newark.
